We decided to escape the summer coastal crowds and took a punt on heading west to Bathurst for a few days. Wow are we glad we did! We had a wonderful few days at Bishop’s Court Estate, enjoying the beautiful house and Christine’s amazing hospitality. It was a hot few days (all of NSW was sweltering through a heatwave) but we found it wonderfully cool in the mornings, relaxing and reading on the verandah surrounded by lush gardens. By day we found other ‘cool’ things to do, including the fascinating fossil and mineral museum in the centre of the city. Then we retreated to the home’s elegant library to relax and enjoy Christine’s afternoon tea, which rolled into pre-dinner drinks. On our last night we chose to have a dinner cooked by Christine and served in the olde-world dining room. What a memorable experience! The food was excellent and the ambience delightful. Christine truly is a gracious host and we can’t wait to go back.

Staying at Bishops Court Estate was an experience I’ll never forget. Christine and her team have created something unique and magical here. This beautifully restored Victorian gem features luxurious interiors and secluded gardens that are simply breathtaking, and provide a private sanctuary to unwind and relax. Although I was a guest at Bishops Court, I was made to feel like an old friend. Christine’s graciousness and exemplary hospitality, made me feel right at home in her lovingly curated masterpiece. I cannot wait to return.

We stayed here for a babymoon getaway from Sydney this June. Christine was very welcoming and made some special efforts for us ensuring we had the spa bath with some Epsom salts, candles, non alcoholic champagne and pregnancy-safe breakfasts. I'd describe this hotel as a luxury bnb where the host is attentive to each guest's differing needs and who brings people together to create a unique social experience you probably won't get anywhere else. Beds are super comfortable. Also some very friendly Burmese cats, Misty and Prince, who give a good cuddle.

We were married At Bishops Court six months ago and it was the most amazing wedding, with incredible food and hospitality. Our guests are still raving about the quality food and the beautiful atmosphere within the gardens. We returned last night for our 6 month anniversary. Christine goes above and beyond to make you feel welcomed and relaxed. Again the food was an absolute delight, and champagne and cheese board by the open fire was a wonderful way to start the evening. Christine is a born entertainer and an incredible host, nothing is too much trouble for her, and it’s her passion to ensure you feel comfortable and welcomed in her home.

We booked the entire estate for a family function over the Easter weekend. Absolutely stunning and flawless. Christine and her staff are first class with food service and opulence. Lots of highlights including the superb candlelit dinner in the chapel. We have been visiting BC for over 12 years and Christine always excels with her kindness, excellent service and stunning property.

What an awesome and wonderful Easter Weekend we had with Christine, her staff and her beautiful property Bishops Court. From cooking in the kitchen, tea in the library to the most delicious dinner in the Chapel it was all amazing. We had our kids with us and they loved running around the garden and exploring the house. Only take kids if you are booking out the full residence. My husband and I look forward to visiting Christine again with no kids. Thanks again for a wonderful weekend filled with laughter amazing food and glorious memories!

We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived at Bishop's Court. Christine and her team were outstanding hosts. It was though we had known each other for years, yet had only just met. The food was amazing and a special evening dining in The Chapel will be long remembered, it was simply exquisite. Gorgeous bedrooms, stunning gardens, it felt like stepping into another world. Happy guests!

Bishop's Court is now included in our top accomodation experiences. Not just the bed and breakfast experience but also the owner Christine, her staff, food, the attention to detail, the glorious garden and the list continues. Breakfast and Afternoon Tea were highlights as was the amazing restoration of the building. We have never felt as welcomed. We did indeed "Arrive as strangers and leave as friends"

It is hard to find the right words! Excellent,fun,charming. And Christine is such a superlative hostess.While she is a consummate professional and never intrusive, she has such personal warmth she is able to make you feel as if you are a treasured guest. Our fellow guests were as pleased as we were and we enjoyed our dinner and evening drinks with them before the fire. We felt so lucky to spend time at Bishops Court and will definitely be back.
